Intrinsic vs. Extrinsic reward
CBT therapy is about creating new rewards to encourage appropriate behavior. On the other hand, when falsified rewards are given to people, they are responsive until the reward is removed. A major weakness to CBT is that the extrinsic rewards are not as effective as intrinsic rewards.
